The Danish Immigrant Museum is located in Elk Horn, Iowa, situated along the I-80 corridor midway between Des Moines, Iowa, and Omaha, Nebraska.

One of many small communities in the Midwest settled by large numbers of Danes who came to this country, Elk Horn, Iowa still celebrates its Danish heritage with pride.

Directions: Take I-80 west from Des Moines or east from Omaha to Exit 54.  Go north 6 miles on Highway 173.
