| The Danish Immigrant Museum is the largest collection of Danish-American artifacts available anywhere in the world. Interest in the museum is both national and international in scope.
A permanent exhibit, located within the museum called "Across Oceans, Across Time®" eloquently presents a full explanation of the travels, struggles and joys Danish immigrants experienced as they came to and settled in America. Other exhibits further create a colorful picture of Danish experiences in the United States and throughout the world. The museum is focused on sharing Danish culture and tradition with people of all nationalities. Danes are proud of their heritage, their accomplishments and their place in America. Explore and enjoy current and past exhibits and their important educational messages. Hopefully, you will one day come to Elk Horn, Iowa, and fully enjoy this great experience in person, if you have not already done so. Morning Star Chapel and other exciting offerings at the museum are represented through the links to the left. You will certainly gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of Danish culture, history and tradition. |
