Erik & Anna Marie Nelson Hansen Family (1922)
Erik was born in Ærøskøbing on the island of Ærø in 1873 and died in Elk Horn in 1945. Anne Marie was a Shelby County native. Both are buried in Clay Hill Cemetery. Back row: Elmer, Egidia, Hansine, Lars, Agnes; front row: Erik, Gladys, Lizzie, Hans, Elna, and Anna. Seated in front: Levi.

Erik Hansen in Elk Horn Meat Market (after 1914)
This photo was taken following a fire at the meat market in 1914. The other man is Bob Christensen, who was Erik Hansen’s assistant. He later ran the Pontiac Garage in Exira. The Elk Horn Meat Market was located in the building where the Prairie Star Quilt Shop is now.
