Heady Stuff (Hatte og Huer)

George Johann Petersen was born in Ames, Iowa, to immigrants Peter F. and Magda Gronbech Petersen, their only son. He enlisted in the U.S. Army at the beginning of World War II, and was killed in action in France on July 30, 1944. His field cap is reminiscent of the military caps worn by Danish soldiers in this display.
