Inger Marie Jensen (1835-1921) was born in Hellested parish, Præstø County on June 12, 1835. She immigrated to the U.S. in 1888 along with her son, Jens Peter Christensen, and lived with him and her daughter, Karen Marie Christensen in Hamlin Twp. in Audubon County. At some time she must have made a trip to Rigby, Idaho, where this photograph of her in her “Sunday best” hat was taken.
