Heady Stuff (Hatte og Huer)

The Oak Hill Cornet Band was founded in 1895 and consisted of Danish immigrant men or their sons. The band played at many weddings and other celebrations in the Brayton area. Members wore dark green wool uniforms trimmed with black braid and ‘kasket’-type hats. Shown here are (front): Walter Hoegh, Chris Hansen, Hans Nymand, director Ed Nelson, George Leander; (middle row): Peter Knudsen, Walter Nelson, George Fredricksen, Chris Grau, Hans R. Hansen; (back): Harry Nymand, Will Hoegh, Knud Nelsen, Walter Nymand, and Jens Christoffersen.
