This chair belonged to Christian Neergaard. Christian enjoyed sitting in this chair in front of the radio listening to programs. Christian came to Canada with his parents Peder and Kirsten Neergaard in 1888. Christian worked together with his dad and two brothers. They traveled around in Canada to work on the Canadian railroad. They worked their way to the West Coast where they crossed the border to the United States. They first lived in Kent, Washington, but later they moved back east and settled in Wisconsin. Christian married Olivia in 1907 and they had two children, Rita and Kirsten.
