There's No Place Like HomeThese two pictures show the home where Minna Rasmussen lived around 1902. The building is located near the city of Kolding (Vejle County)in southeastern Jutland. After marrying Lewis Larsen, Minna and her growing family lived in this thatched cottage near Vester Nebel.
Following the family’s emigration, they lived on “the Fiscus farm” in Douglas Township, shown in this aerial photograph from 1922. The farmhouse was leveled in the 1990s.
