There's No Place Like HomeThis family farm in Lading (Aarhus County) in east central Jutland is where Andrew Pedersen (the family name was changed to Vithen in 1905) grew up. Andrew immigrated to the U.S. in the late 1880s. He first came to Omaha, Nebraska, and then settled in Shelby County, Iowa, where he operated the general store in Poplar and lived on a farm south of that community.
