The Bethlehem Lutheran Church parsonage in Jacksonville, Iowa, was built in 1917, replacing an earlier building constructed 30 years earlier. Its first residents were Pastor H. A. Svendsen and his Danish-born wife, Mary, who lived here with their seven children. After the Svendsens several other Danish immigrant ministers resided in the parsonage, which is no longer used for this purpose.
