Moda After Dark: Bringing the Museum to Your Evening

The Museum of Danish America is excited to announce MoDA After Dark, a new evening program designed to better serve communities beyond traditional museum hours. Recognizing that many people are unable to visit from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the museum has extended its hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursdays to create a welcoming space for exploration, creativity, and connection after work and school.

“MoDA After Dark is a space we’ve been seeking to fill,” said Amelia Juhl, Communications Manager. “We know that not everyone can visit during the day; this program allows us to keep our doors open later, providing opportunities for more people to experience our exhibits, programs, and events in a relaxed, evening setting.”

Everyone is welcome to unwind and explore the museum during extended Thursday hours, while bimonthly events—featuring exhibit openings, curator talks, workshops, and hands-on activities—offer even more opportunities for people to experience the museum’s programming. Whether you’re new to the museum or a longtime visitor, Moda After Dark offers a fresh way to experience Danish-American history, culture, and design in a lively evening atmosphere.

Join us after hours to explore, connect, and celebrate the Museum of Danish America in a whole new light. See you after dark!
