Brown Bag Lunch – Danes and the Lutheran Church in America with Michael Koehler

Bring your lunch to the Museum and join us for a fascinating presentation by MoDA board member Mike Koehler!

At the North End of Waupaca’s Main Street in Wisconsin sits Danes Hall.  If the walls of Danes Hall could talk, they’d speak of young Danish immigrants who dreamed, debated and planned for their future in America. These young Danes would play a pivotal role in creating the Lutheran Church in America.  From their first meeting, held Waupaca in June of 1872, the Danish Lutheran Church would set sail and build a network of churches, schools, orphanages, colleges, and seminaries across America. Join us to explore the journey … and legacy … of Danes and the Lutheran Church.

The Brown Bag Lunch Program is made possible with support from Dennis Andersen, Atlanta, GA.
