Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming 6th grade art students from the Audubon Community School for an inspiring and educational field trip! The students explored a variety of artistic styles and concepts across our exhibits, diving into the rich world of Danish art and design.

In the Per Arnoldi | Advertising Art exhibit, they discovered the principles of minimalism, focusing on how form, function, and color work together to create bold, impactful designs.

Danish Ceramics: Beyond Blue and White took them on a journey through different stylistic periods, highlighting the evolution of ceramic art in Denmark — from classic traditions to modern interpretations.

Finally, in our permanent exhibit, students examined how emotion is conveyed through photography and Danish design, reflecting on how art can capture both personal expression and cultural identity.

We hope this visit sparked curiosity and creativity in these young artists and hope to welcome them back soon as there’s always more to discover at our museum. Are you interested in learning about our educational opportunities? Contact us to learn more about the field trips and programs we offer.
