MoDA Announces Arrival of Nathalie Nielsen, Scan Design Foundation Intern

My name is Nathalie, and I am a Scan Design Foundation Intern at the Genealogy and Education Center at the Museum of Danish America. I come from a small town near Næstved, approximately an hour south of Copenhagen. I have a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Copenhagen and am currently in the process of completing a master’s in American Studies at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense.
I am very interested in U.S. politics, history, and culture, as well as the relations between Denmark and America. Therefore, getting the chance to intern here at MoDA is something I am so happy to do! Here at the GEC, I will be assisting Eric with genealogy research and Anna with her educational work.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending my time with animals, going to the zoo, playing games, watching series, and just relaxing. I am a big animal lover; if there is an animal nearby, chances are I will be focused on it (I still can’t believe how many squirrels just roam around Central Park with no care in the world).
I am excited to see what will happen in the months I will be spending here at MoDA, and I already know it will be the experience of a lifetime.
