Hannah Versch

Hello! My name is Hannah Versch, and I am the Education and Programming Intern at the Museum of Danish America this summer.

I come from a very tiny town in Iowa, over by the Sioux City region, and I am studying Art with a certificate in Museum Studies at the University of Iowa! I am going into my third year and couldn’t be more excited to gain hands on experience within an impressive Museum such as this one! This summer, I will assist with planning summer camps, involve myself in community outreach, and collaborate with other museum departments.

My journey to this internship is traditional! I wanted to get museum experience under my belt. Although, when I heard the news that I had received the internship, I realized that this wasn’t just about listing experience on my resume—I realized that I wanted to push myself beyond my boundaries, go to a place where I knew no one, and learn everything I can about Danish culture and history. I am excited to be here and learn all I can about the Museum of Danish America.

If you catch me outside of school or work, you will find me doing all things art! As I said above, I am an Art major, and I try to practice my craft as much as I can, with as many mediums as I can! You can also find me watching trashy reality TV while I cook or bake! I look forward to meeting many of you this summer!
