Local Legends: An Exorcism in Earling, IA
October 13 @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am
Join us at the MoDA Genealogy and Education Center for a presentation by local historian Warren Watson about the exorcism in Earling, Iowa.
In 1928, the quiet Iowa farm community of Earling in Shelby County was chosen as the site for a secretive exorcism. It did not take long for the ceremony to make headlines across the country and Europe. While it has since melted into oblivion, listen as it is resurrected from the depths of the River Lethe.
