The museum's Main Floor Gallery features the works of two contemporary Danish artists in an exhibition titled “Vessel: Ceramic Art by Michael Geertsen and Morten Løbner Espersen.” The exhibit opened on March 22 and remains on view through September 2, 2019.

Geertsen and Espersen both represent current ceramic art in Denmark, interpreting traditional ceramic vessel forms in very different ways. For the museum audience, these works offer an opportunity to explore how familiar ceramic objects – like vases, pitchers, and plates – can be re-imagined in creative ways. The forms, surface textures, colors, and dimensions illustrate an infinite variety of possibilities, all within the theme of ”Vessel.”

Thisexhibition is organized in cooperation with the Jason Jacques Gallery in New York City, which represents both artists.
