Yngve
Olsson (1896-1970) immigrated from Denmark in 1918. By 1920, he was working for the Kalo Shop in Chicago - an Arts and Crafts style workshop that designed
and created silver jewelry, tablewares, and housewares. He was a master craftsman, known especially for his chased and engraved decoration that often took
the form of flowers and leaves. For 50 years he was a leading member of the Kalo Shop team, in addition to working out of his home workshop. This exhibition
presents several original pieces made by Yngve Olsson, as well as his tools, design drawings, and photographs of other works.
