Dinner and a Movie

Join the Museum of Danish America for Dinner and a Movie at the Lykke Center at the Lutheran Memorial Church in Des Moines, Iowa on Thursday, April 25 from 6 - 9 pm. Dinner will begin at 6 pm, and the screening will begin at 7:30 pm. 

Passage to Sweden is an inspiring film depicting decency, humanity, and courage during WWII. The film tells the story of ordinary Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian citizens as they saved the lives of thousands of Jews and fellow countrymen. Watch the trailer here.

For those who only wish to see the film, Grand View University students who present their student ID & MoDA members may view the film for free.


Smokey D's

Dinner from "Smokey D's BBQ"

Dinner will be a buffet style BBQ from Smokey D's. There will be chicken, pulled pork, and sides.
