This commemorative medal was awarded to Jørgen Jensen in recognition of his service in the Dano-Prussian conflict. Many soldiers who subsequently immigrated
to the U.S. were eligible
to receive the medal. The Museum has several in its collection and the FHGC is compiling a listing of veterans living in the U.S. who applied for it.
